Steve at North State Millwork needed some custom tools and reached out to me for some help. I was able to draw up some designs in 3DS Max from some ideas he had, and the result was some industrial tools that have lasted years and have made their jobs much easier and efficient.

This cart I designed in 3DS Max allowed the crew to have better access to the supplies they needed to get their work done.

Below is an animation of a machine that I was asked to design with no plans, just an idea. Throughout the work day, the crew had to fold dozens of boxes into the necessary shape to put doors into for delivery. This machine was going to make that process easier and much faster. Unfortunately, the machine never came to fruition.

These clamps I designed in 3DS MAX came from a very simple sketch on a napkin. They allowed the crew to more easily drop the door frames into place in less time.

These renders were to show how the hoods and vacuum hoses were going to look once they were installed. NSM wanted to see how it would look before the work was done, so I put together these renders.
